FABRICATION: YOUR KITCHEN WAS CRAFTED, NOT PROCESSED...
1. It all starts with the slab. After you have selected
your unique piece of stone and your template is complete, Yarrabee will determine what the best possible look
will be for your surface. We cut your kitchen according to the strengths, weaknesses and patterns of the stone.
Unfortunately stone slabs are excavated from quarries at a general size. Thus, for larger kitchens with technical
designs, 'seams' are necessary to join the pieces of your job together. Learn more about seams and surfaces in our
stone care section.
2. The abbreviation CNC stands for Computer Numerical
Control, and refers specifically to a computer "controller" that reads instructions and drives the tools.
Yarrabee utilizes this technology in order to create the most complex shapes with ease. The precision of
our machines and tools gives our customers the most custom designs in a short amount of time.
Yarrabee leads the stone industry in its use of technology in order to give clients more options at a lower
cost.
3. Machines are great! They cut down on time and costs, and
they can be more precise than humans. But, the eye of a trained professional will always notice things that
the machine doesn't.
Yarrabee's fabrication specialists inspect all pieces of stone after our machines have done their work.
Our fabricators look for where they can improve the smoothness of the edge and surface. They also insert
reinforcing bars underneath the stone in order to ensure strength is distributed through the stone during
transportation and installation.
